More commonly known as the long nose. Either dark grey or brown with a distinctive white spot on their nose. Majestic fish with a creates a larger than life presence in the garden pond. The most common sturgeon in the ornamental trade here in the UK.
Very popular, very large, very hardy, very friendly. What's not to love about this giant of the deep.
A popular cold water species. Anadromous, dwelling in salt water or freshwater, they like both.
Very fast growing with a passive nature makes them excellent company for other garden pond fish such as koi carp and orfe.
